It's lovely and sunny hear again, but apparently Autumn starts tomorrow. To make the most of it we're off for a drive. RHS Hyde Hall for lunch and a wander round, then down to Southend to look at the sea. And maybe a little flutter in the casino while we're there.
Another cup of tea first though...

Back from my holidays and order restored in the household.
I've been in Nice for a week - and absolutely loved it. My french started to come back to me - especially after a couple of glasses of wine The weather was August- like and the scenery on our little tours was spectacular. Loved the Chagall museum, Cap Ferrat, Vence and generally chilling out on the balcony for a leisurely brunch.
On the other hand the dog was grief stricken, traumatised and generally not herself. Since I have been home she has been very quiet and timid. I think I need to get her a pet passport and travel with her in future!
I remember being in a french pub and a poodle on the table, so Rosie should be fine to travel
Didn't get as much done today as I thought I might Only got tomorrow and half of sunday before I'm off to work for a week. I should have been twins.
Daughter will be back tomorrow night so that will be nice.
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!

Brilliant! I've just taken a couple of good looking plants indoors to overwinter. Did you see Philty post in the best container in the competition? It's a 3 year plant and it's huge!!!
