Well I can say now we are out of the other side of it G4 - Petal has been in hospital since the morning after I brought her home - she had a huge worm burden and was consequently dehydrated and underweight. To add to the discomfort she had a bad ear mite problem. She stayed in from Saturday morning till Tuesday evening and she is on a shedload of treatments poor baby.
But she is determined to live life to the full, she loves everybody and thinks Rosie is probably her mummy but can't get any milk out of her. She loves to snuggle with Rosie and me and runs to other people as well- so different from the frightened Rosie I picked up from the same sanctuary last year.
My big problem is that my camera is not up to taking the right pictures at the moment - she moves so quickly! That and I move so slowly.
ETA they are both lying nose to tail on the sofa beside me and Rosie has just cast her front leg over the baby to keep her even warmer! Baby is snuggling big time with her big sister.
Pleased that I was not eating my tea when I read your post, Jeanie! She'll pick up quickly, I'm sure.
Not such a bad day for running, after all - shorts and T still for a while. Just a shame that if I want to run in the park it has to be at lunchtime, now that the nights are drawing in.
I have lamb goulash in oven nearly ready, and I might treat myself to a glass of a cheeky little red number - anyone want to join me?
I didn't bother to open the bottle after all - no-one wanted to join me so I would have been drinking all alone. But on the plus side, the lamb goulash was fab.
Wednesday night pub night at pub-which-holds-quiz (arrived too late in to take part) - a nice couple of pints of Forest Hare (Bath Ales). Bit sad as one of the Wednesday night gang will be taking his 17yr old cat for a one way trip to the vets tomorrow.
On the strength of that, I came home and gave Dom a cuddle - he wriggled away (*gerroff!!*), as he thinks that overt shows of affection ruin his street cred.
May as well, Hazel, its very quiet tonight. I would have shared your bottle but the thought of lamb goulash bubbling away was enough to make me teetotal (for about an hour)
Good to have you back so that I can say Nos da again
Do you have to work an extra hour Carrie? What a pain! I'm not a fan when the clocks go forward bug I like the extra hour when they go back. It's also easier for me to get upin the mornings - for a week or so anyway! Lots to do today, so no idling around this morning..
Night Nicos, Morning Cari and Scarlet and anyone else who's stirring. I'm not sure how, but I have always had children staying overnight at my house when the clocks go back! Fine and mild here, have a lovely day
((HUGS)) Jeanie and Petal. Sorry Hazel, still 'dry' here. I'm with you on the clock issue, Scarlet. Love BST and wish we could stay on it permanently, but don't like the transition. Dislike GMT, like most people with outdoor jobs and hobbies, but love the extra hour in the mornings, until my body clock adjusts.
Coffee?

Aha - but do you still get a full shift's pay in the Spring when you work an hour less when the clocks go forward? If so, it all comes out in the wash.
