  • Come and do mine G4, I've got a chest freezer - a huge one, out in my workshop..it's about 5ft long and I haven't seen the bottom for years really should get my act together!

Anyway, off to dinner at very good friends tonight - she's just sent a text to ask if I like pheasant. Cr@p, I hate it and the smell is vile! I think I'll be having double helping of lemon and lime tart but no worries plenty of wine and lots of laughs will be had

Same as mine - I don't use the bottom third!

      • You may be surprised, Scarlet. I can't abide roast Pheasant, but slow-cooked in cream and brandy sauce... Mmmmmmmmmmm.

As for your chest freezer, why do you think I gave mine away and got an upright?

I'm feeling very mad at the moment ...shouted up the stairs for the boys to get their washing down (both, stuck looking at a computer screen, talking to mates through headphones ) some clothes appear. I go to put it in and realise that only a few thing from one of them. Shout upstairs again, he comes storming down saying I'm always shouting!!! Hmm, they never answer what to do? Shall I leave the washing on the side and make him wash it himself..or is that petty

Having had 3 lads, what i would do is,tell them, from now on you will not shout, but ask once only,go to their room and say are you listening to me,as this is the only ask you will make, and they will only have themselves to blame if they got no clean washing, depends on age, also say they will have to do their own,if they not comply,as you also need your own space, just like them, and are entitled to it,by the way best of luck,

                        • Helloooooo! Damp day here, so household chores again today and some meals made to save me some time next week and to make sure my son has a couple of hot dinners I can't remember if I ever got my boys to bring their washing to the machine Scarlet. I do remember throwing a lot of their clothes out of the bedroom window when they left them on the floor. It made me feel better, but it only made them laugh. They're both very domesticated now and my daughter, whom I never allowed to lift a finger (more fool you I hear you say), is quite the domestic goddess, although she moans about how much she has to shout to get her three girls in order!

Scarlet, put headphones on and everytime they ask you for something, ignore them 'cos you can't hear them
Artnoon all, just had a little siesta I'm storing up some sleep in my sleep bank, for whenever I may need it.
Any veggie crisps left Lottie? They look scrummy. Did you do them in the microwave or the oven?

                              • Evening all!

Nearly time for a glass of wine whilst - er - cleaning the bathroom and changing the sheets. I did not do these household tasks this morning as per usual as I was out at mum's church's Christmas fair.

We spent a fiver each and won a box of chocs on the tombola, but nothing on the bottle stall, naming-the-bear, or guess the price of the contents of a hamper. Bought a nice jar of marmalade and some little cakes to bring back to mine to have with coffee.

Wandered round the shops with mum as she tried to find a pair of trousers, but drew a blank.

What are you lot up to? Not having puppies, I notice.
