  • Just limping with plantar fasciitis in one foot, Flo - not helped by having to walk on it for two good walks a day.

Hoping to make vine wreaths later on - using vine prunings from the plot!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

    • Right, now I am officially sitting on my hands again - the rescue centre that I got Rosie and Petal from have now got a lovely little terrier type dog called Phoebe Please don't let me get tempted again as I am still dealing with poo and pee indoors and the washing machine probably won't take it much more!
I think my siblings would have me sectioned if I got another dog. But she is sooo cute!

      • Somehow she reminds me of Bessie only after a visit to the hairdresser!

        • I met Phoebe (a Shitzu, ?sp) when I went back for Bessie. The choice was between Bessie, Phoebe, Toby and there was a 4th (Mr Grumpy but I didn't meet him). Phoebe's quite small, I don't think she'd stand up to a rough and tumble with your two.

          • Thank you VC - I needed a word of wisdom or two - Petal holds her own in a Rosie onslaught but only because she can duck under the furniture Petal has had her collar let out 4 times since I got her - she is so springer I can't tell you!

I suffer with that too. It's really painful.

The one thing (besides knee-wrenches and achilles problems) that would really stop me in my tracks. Painful and not easily treated - I feel for you, girls.

                    • I also suffer with it. I have been wearing a gel for the last couple of months but I didn't feel it helped so today I tried without it & it has felt much better. Still there but not half as painful.

                      • I have it in both feet. I've tired doing exercises and sticking my feet in cold water for 10mins and I also have foot support in my shoe but it just is not working. And it don't help when I walk on sides of my feet , make its worse when I am bare footed and my feet are flat.

                          • I got told the next step if the support and exercises dont work is having injections in my feet. Now i dont like the sound of that.

                            • Rolling your foot on a tin can/air freshener can may ease it, point your toes upwards whilst you roll your foot back & forth along the can.

I've heard that - and that it can be very successful. If the alternative is 'rest and it will go away eventually. Probably.' and you have an active life (on your feet all day) which is limited by the condition then I think that the shots are worth considering.
