Feeling smug here because I bake my own egg custards, have to really because our local big store is Te3co and they reduce things by only one or two pence.
Good Morning All and Happy Friday! I'm told we may have it at the weekend, but ner sner here today Tezzy asked me to complete a questionnaire about my experience of click and collect. I enjoyed that Have a good day
Morning all, Cold and dark out there this morning. oH has taken the kids to school. I need to be out by 8.20 but I'm having a 5min coffee break first. I love Fridays.....
Morning everyone, very dark here again, very, very wet and also very cold! Hope it cheers up later. Anyone got their 'badword' tree up yet? Our neighbours had theirs up last Saturday! It was still November for goodness sake, it comes round quickly enough already it will be meeting itself coming round the corner soon! Hope you all have a lovely day.
Enjoyed filling in a Tesc's questionaire, Flo - doesn't take much to make you happy, does it?
Although your custards will taste nicer than little Morries, Bren, these are cheaper than you could maken 'em for. Bit like the 15p veg - I haven't got sprouts at the Hill this year, so I'm not going to be precious about buying them, even if I've got an allotment so 'shouldn't' be getting veg from the supermarket.
I have a nice day lined up today, but a busy one, so best be off - see y'all later!
Sitting here having a cuppa waiting for the new toy to arrive, Flo less of the sner talk please, don't want any of that just yet thanks, Miss Norway is not fully feathered yet after her moult

Morning all....Hazel has done the honours already I see, so happy Friday all!!
Yep, Jay, we have ours up since Wednesday..Kids insisted on it
Our 3 year old boy was so excited when we took out the tree and all the various bits (many of which are still not up yet)..He just kept running around saying "this is the best Christmas ever" bless him
Wait tail Santa arrives
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Thought you'd be out being smug, Trip - and someone's gotta say it!
Amazing how Christmas creeps up earlier and earlier - I understand it from the retailers point of view (and from that of the kids - although as it is dragged out for longer, does it get devalued and less special? Discuss.)
Here, we get our Christmas tree (a real one) and put it up the weekend before Christmas, as we have always done. The disadvantage of that strategy these days is that the only trees left are those which would not look out of place in the Royal Albert Hall, or are decidedly lop-sided.

Yep I did a bit of smugness Hazel...not too much mind, as it's Friday
The retailers have it ruined I think with all the stuff starting in early November and October in some cases...madness
But for me (and mainly for the kids, I swear) once December hits, it's GAME ON !!!
