£2.44 well spent, I reckon.
...I had to make do with 4 baking spuds for 20p and munchie choc biscuits which the boys scoffed.

Morning everyone, very dark here again, very, very wet and also very cold! Hope it cheers up later. Anyone got their 'badword' tree up yet? Our neighbours had theirs up last Saturday! It was still November for goodness sake, it comes round quickly enough already it will be meeting itself coming round the corner soon! Hope you all have a lovely day.sigpic

Morning all! It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY!
Enjoyed filling in a Tesc's questionaire, Flo - doesn't take much to make you happy, does it?
Although your custards will taste nicer than little Morries, Bren, these are cheaper than you could maken 'em for. Bit like the 15p veg - I haven't got sprouts at the Hill this year, so I'm not going to be precious about buying them, even if I've got an allotment so 'shouldn't' be getting veg from the supermarket.
I have a nice day lined up today, but a busy one, so best be off - see y'all later!

Amazing how Christmas creeps up earlier and earlier - I understand it from the retailers point of view (and from that of the kids - although as it is dragged out for longer, does it get devalued and less special? Discuss.)
Here, we get our Christmas tree (a real one) and put it up the weekend before Christmas, as we have always done. The disadvantage of that strategy these days is that the only trees left are those which would not look out of place in the Royal Albert Hall, or are decidedly lop-sided.

The retailers have it ruined I think with all the stuff starting in early November and October in some cases...madness
But for me (and mainly for the kids, I swear) once December hits, it's GAME ON !!!I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
