It's certainly the weather for sitting on a forum talking about gardening than going out there and actually doing it. Glad there's no immediate jobs need doing out there. Thankfully it's just downright unpleasant here though, and (so far) not disruptive. All those who are facing the rough end of this latest barrage, keep safe!
Aaaaaaaaaarternooooooon Peeps. Well, so much for a dry garden. It chucked it down all night, and blew up quite a hoolie, which still hasn't died out. Horse-riding was abandoned this morning, as the buggas that went out had the wind up 'em, so those of us with a bit of sense said sod it, and went in for Coffee. Although, it may have been something to do with the lure of the CAAAAAAAKE that one of the 'Girls' had made...
Dog-walking, however, was still carried out - with extras; the two Collies that came to stay here a while back, came out with us this morning, and all five Dogs belted around like loons. Good job the wheat isn't up yet, as they belted out across one field after a Waaaaaaabit, and it was so windy they couldn't hear us whistling, so we just had to stand there waving our arms in the hope they'd see us and remember which way was 'home' We struggled to walk in one direction, then got blown back quickly when we turned around.
My two are now out for the count on their beds, and probably will be until tea-time.
Coffee?

It's bladdy horrible out there. Blowing a hooly and raining. Poor dog is looking at me as if it's my fault. Do hope the wind either dies down or changes direction - it was howling in the chimney all night last night.
I have some work I should be doing this evening - matching one great big list of data to another big list of data, and when I've done THAT, I've got to put all the matched data on a big map. Not sure if the ol' boco is up to it, but I should at least do a bit more. At the mo, I have matched about 60 out of 240 records. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Oh well, I'll just have to spend the afternoon doing this data matching thing instead. Anyone want to take bets on how many records out of 243 I will have matched by the end of this evening...?
Evening all - enjoyable day today putting the world to rights - I was restrained and restricted myself to 2 beers and an orange juice as I have chess tonight - now where am I going and who am I playing?

Yes, same here. I've just been out to shut the Chooks in, and it's vile. Just vile.

It'll be a weight off my mind, certainly. Right - I'm going to knuckle down and try to get the whole lot finished before 7pm when I will be partaking of a glass of red.
Nope - neither rings a bell - more likely Troon and the last Grandmaster I played moved to Belgium and only comes across and plays simultaneous games against us now and again - last time was 9 May 2013 and we had a great night out with him at a local hotel - a really nice guy, always lets you down gently and explains your errors in such a manner as to make you think you played really well.
