  • Drizzling here - again.

Wish it would stop so I can have a decent walk with the dog. I have been keeping her entertained by teaching her some new tricks - so she will give a left paw or a right paw depending on which hand I hold out, and she runs and fetches a jingly dumbell instead of a ball. She is also learning 'catch' for catching a treat. She is a very quick learner for some things! Shame she won't come to me when we are out in the park.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

        • Just been scratching my head over the mystery appearance of blunt tipped pins on my floor - one or two a day - I have a collection of 9 of them now and was getting worried that the dog might swallow one.

A bit of googling gave me a clue though - picked up the dog's wire grooming brush and sure enough there are some of the pins missing from the cushioned pad.

            • Aaaaaaaaaaarternooooooooon Peeps! We were forecast rain all night and all day. We got the all night part, in excess too, and loads of roads were flooded in places they don't usually flood, this morning. Since then we've had sunshine. Even now it's bright and mild. Shame the garden is under water.

Jeanie, I'm having the same problem with Roxy. I keep calling her back, giving her a cuddle and a biscuit and letting her go again. It's a l-o-o-o-n-g process.

Shen, I'm envious of your CP visit, hope you have a lovely time. BB, I'm envious of yours too, but glad you've had a fab time, hope the home-bound journey is hassle-free.

Coffee anyone? No, not you Hazel, you're too busy, but I'll pour you a glass of Red when you're done.

                  • I don't agree with taking children out of school to go on holiday, but I can understand why people do. When the likes of centre perks triple their prices for school holidays its a bit galling. I would have thought having to cope with the place being full to the rafters would be punishment enough without making them pay triple the price to boot.

I'm away this half term not to CP I might add, I'm hoping it will be dry enough to get out on the bikes a bit, I'm a bit fed up with all the squelchy stuff under foot of late.
