Morning its grey and cold here but not that cold to be frosty.

I spoke too soon - we're back to heavy rain and gale force winds.

Oi! That Key Lime pie was supposed to be just for me - the BH said he didn't like it, but he's eaten most of it and now has his very own baked cheesecake to eat, living me with no cake at all. I'm contemplating a St Clements cheesecake next....

I woke early and it was really quiet outside and the light through the curtains was white, thick white, snow white.......... I lay there, remembering that my wellies were in the GH, the shovel was down the garden in the shed and the yard brush was ..........somewhere else I was afraid to draw the curtains ...........so I'm very relieved to see that its merely grey, wet and breezy here

Was going to say good morning, but just realised it should be good afternoon. Where does the time go?

Cold but sunshiny this morning when I took the grandchildren to school, but it's deteriorating rapidly. Grey and the wind is picking up again

Afternoon all - it's rained all morning, but forecast to stop soon, then the winds will pick up. I'm trying to plan a run when I don't get (a) wet or (b) blown across the park. What are the chances of success?

Well, we're going to need them by the kilo-tonne then! It's just getting worse and worse out there.

We nipped to L!dl, I got blown over into a huge puddle. Lovely lump on my head when I hit it on the car bumper (there's irony for you) We lost half a dozen plastic bags from the back of the car - they're probably in Gloucestershire by now. The drains aren't coping with the heavy rain, nowhere for it to go, so there are inches of standing water in enormous puddles, rapidly joining up to flood the road. How The Boy is going to manage delivering his papers later I do not know.

Oh, BM, I am so incredibly ƤɨʂϨӛƌ off with it all. I'm trying very hard to be not ƤɨʂϨӛƌ off as I know there are many, many, people so much worse off than I am and I can't even begin to know how awful they feel. It's so dispiriting, so demoralising.

I'm off to cut out some aprons and play with a chicken appliqué.

Blummin windy here too but at least the rain has eased off at the moment. Coffee would be nice but Caaaaaaaaaake or Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie would be better

Think you should bandage your head,and add an eyepatch, your family might take pity on you? And cook your dinner,pour you a Very large glass of something, and peel you some grapes? ( maybe?)

Aaaaaaaaaarternoooooon Peeps. We have rain. Again. Did manage to get the Dogs exercised without getting blown away (just) or soaked (it hadn't started), so they're now snoring in the Hall.

Not sure if this is the place to post this item but...
Does anyone want to house sit for us while we are on holiday? We have a few hens that need feeding, watering and their home keeping tidy - eggs collected etc. Also a greenhouse and small veg plot. Our neighbours usually so it but there are times this year that we will be away at the same times. We usually go away twice for a couple of weeks in the caravan and I have the dates booked so if anyone is interested in a holiday in the Highlands send me a PM.
