The thermometer resting on our kitchen window is outside but in full sun- and it's registering 25C!!
It's actually 10C outside.
Needless to say my chilli seedlings are having a bit of a sunbathe!..not for too long though cos I don't want to frazz them.

Afternoon, its lunch time so a quick read then I'm going back outside
I struck lucky this morning someone was moving allotments and freecycled their spare autumn bliss raspberry canes
Aaaaaaaarternoooon Peeps, and what a lovely one it is too. Bright, sunny and clear eight degrees - positively tropical. Still too wet to do much out there, and there's plenty to be done there's also plenty to be done in here, but I'm going to sit and have a cuppa and a nosey, first. Hope you're all well?
Coffee?

It is indeed bright and sunny out there. I have a south facing garden minus the four 50+ foot conifers that fell down in the winds. I cannot tell you how bright it is now they're gone, my crops have now got day round sun wherever they are in my garden. Not always a good idea, best invest in a new garden hose set I think
Haha, the sun will be a bit of a shock after conifers. Hopefully a good shock. You could try a seep-hose for your plants, they're worth the price and installation in the long run.

Afternoon All. Just my youngest lad for breakfast this morning and packed him off just now with some beef, Yorkshires and my home made onion gravy. We're eating later. It's a bright, bright, sunshiny day (I'm not even going to say it), but it's really cold. I still haven't had the inspiration to sow. I've just bought myself a new duvet and found my perfume half price so I've bought that too. Off to get myself a cheeky little glass of chilled white, I think it's Spanish. See you all later.
Afternoon all. Half way through school work Sunday. Found the poly tunnel; it was still standing, lovely and warm at 20 degrees. But the plot is very very damp.
Afternoon its tea and Tunnock time Sally having those trees missing going to make a huge difference once summers here
We have lived with those trees for 33 years, so obviously they were much smaller in the 'old days' so when the children were small and we were much younger we coped with the intense heat on our walled patio. Fast forward 20 years and they were a welcome shade for us. It's going to be totally different with our planting this year, so am now having a rethink on what goes where. It also means that I now have land where I could plant potatoes in, yay!
Forgot to mention on the subject of 4 conifers, my two neighbours are paying £850 each to have them removed. My two or three broken fences are trivial. Our local football club is taking delivery of the shreddings as weed suppressant, so they still being of use I suppose.
