Evening All. Not been this busy at work since before Saturnalia. Appraisals, 3-month reviews, sickness management on the staff side and close computer monitoring on the patient side. My eyes are heavy! Off to relax on the game, but not for long, could do with some matchsticks. I've booked Monday off so I can have a restful weekend - I hope. Finished the paperwork Jeanie? Glad to hear your mum will improve chick, even if it's only gradual. We don't eat cake, although Himself loves "Pomfret" cakes and I am partial to the occasional drippin' cake, smothered in salt (I can hear you all groaning). See you tomorrow, have a lovely evening

I'm going to the potato day at Nottingham on Sat - think it's run by Zaz's lot, so might see her there - that would be fun.

Dinner over and done with. Do wish Grumpy Dad would stop moaning that his tea isn't on the table at 5pm on the dot. You had afternoon tea at 4.00, Pa, that should keep you going until dinner at 7.30! We eat later out of necessity; I hate not sitting down to dinner at the table as a family and we can only eat together when both boys are home after 7pm. Get used to it or go home.

Frost was coating the glass topped table on the patio not long after dark. Weather station says 5c, and sinking.

Good morning everyone. Warmer here but it is raining again. Garden and lotties just look, well, sort of dull and grey. A few weeds are starting to poke their heads above ground but hoeing just seems to move them around rather than actually chopping their heads off.

Much to wet to do any serious working of the soil. Just biding my time until I can get some proper work done.

No rain here still. Flooding up in queensland. Me biggest boy has gone north - he's an hour south of brisbane but should be fine, unless of course, he's an idiot and goes in the rough surf. The place is even smaller than here, and he was surprised to find I've been there when I was a teen. You have to go to a lot of places before you find one your mother hasn't been too

Big Folk Festival this weekend. I need to learn how to do henna tattoos for the kids hour. I'm cooking lots of finger food for the teens that are coming out to stay. Our phone is still not working, and I've got people ringing about the markets. 3 days starting tomorrow and it will be flat strap but some great music.

Ma says we have to spend the day getting the house ready for this party. Not sure what she wants to do; house is spotless, only thing that needs doing is rearranging the diningroom. That takes about ten minutes....
