  • Evening All!

Complete cream crackered today. Last of the Birthday Bash visitors have only just left. Party went well, even His Grumpiness cracked a smile - high praise indeed. Saw some family whom I haven't seen for so long, they were shocked to discover I'm no longer 18......and that I was married with four children, all grown. Very amusing.

Oh, and the cake is finished....not a crumb left!!

    Everyone ok?
    Jules

      • Lol you lot make me laugh.

Re stopping Springers doing anything- Flo if you get an answer I would be interested in hearing! Rosie is certainly charming but once she has something in her mind, that is it, she won't be distracted. She is quite sneaky too - she knows how to fake disinterest till I'm not watching.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

          • Love our dishwasher. When we moved to the country we were in a very basic place and I had to teach the kids about washing up and drying up. I let the kids pack the dishwasher themselves, one used to pack and the other unpack. And the spare one got to wipe up the pots and pans that got done in the sink.
Bought two basil plants yesterday at the markets $1.50 each. One green, one purple. Tomato relish that has a bit of zing to it. And some plums.
Also got some tips about curly leaf on plums/peach/nectarine trees. Son had researched and said we had to grow strawberries near the peach/nectarines, which we did and that seemed work. But then the plum trees got it instead. Someone at the markets said get some Mallow plant and hang it on the tree. So that will be next one to try. Always got some marshmallow plant somewhere on this place.
Very tired and back really sore from helping out at the Folk Festival all weekend. Would be lovely if everyone helped out a bit and we could all have a good time.

Some people's mothers should have told them to stop being princesses when they were younger so they didn't flounce off when things don't suit them.

Bit disheartened by the community spirit or more the lack of it these last few months. But have had a nice time with daughters friends here (5 teen girls in one house) and the boy driving us all around in the evenings so they could have some fun at the festival and mum could have a glass of wine after her stint in the kitchen. Weekends like this show how many great young people there are in the world despite all the 'Young people today' carryon that some people persist with.

Anyway, on that thought, I is off on the game for a bit. I may be back, but if not, see you all tomorrow, enjoy your evening
