Mornin' all. Sunny here today....why am I not surprised! Rain, please, some rain.
Have been watering the front garden yesterday afternoon. Need to get the back ones done today. They are gasping out there.
I'm still on holidays till tomorrow, and then I'm on days off till saturday night. Doing two weeks of nights now, which is nice, I"m so over the hassles of weekday mornings
Daughter started back to school today after the long holidays. Looking cute in her Senior uniform. Camera wasn't charged nor the phone, so she will have to look cute again tomorrow morning
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Morning Feral, fingers crossed for some rain for you, there's plenty here. Couldn't get the computer to co-operate at all last night, may have to do a system restore. Have a good day
Just been listening to an unusual bird call from the garden.
Not heard it before so it's presumably migratory (or a mating call)...but there's just the one calling.
Had a good look but can't see it.
Frustrating eh?

Greeeeeeeeeeeeey start to the day here - but not actually raining at the mo.
Here's today's conundrum - Domino cat is going for his ultrasound tomorrow morning and is on nil-by-mouth from 9pm tonight. Normally, the cats scoff a big supper at bedtime, so any ideas (apart from going to bed at 9pm ) how to stop him bleating away for his supper ALL NIGHT LONG??
Oh - and how to explain to Oliver cat that he is also on nil-by-mouth in sympathy?

Reason: clarity!
Hazel, they can't have anything after 9pm, so feed them at 8pm! Or even five to nine if they eat fast!
Morning All....Off for full bloods in a wee while. Must ask them why they've been requested yet again - and they were requested by a doctor I've never met. Curiouser and curiouser....
Can't offer coffee - I'm on nil-by-mouth too. I hate fasting bloods - appointment is 9.50am and I've been up since 6am.

At least the bloods aren't costing you £130-odd quid like they did for Dom last week. Although - to be fair - the vet does get the results back to you the same day.
You're right of course, Jules - but I can just see the thought process
8.45pm 'oh, lovely! A snack - that's unusual! I'm not really hungry as I had tea not so long ago, but I'll have a little nibble'.
