[Hazel at the Hill]

Morning all - we have trying-to-snow here.

Domino cat now at the Vets - it's not the clinic round the corner that we walk to, but the Vet hospital a couple of miles away on the other side of town. Isn't rush hour traffic tedious? I'm glad I don't have to tackle it very often.

I was fine in the Vets until I was going, when the nice nurse said 'don't worry, we'll take care of him for you.' Better take my tissues when I go and pick him up later.

^^^^ What Nicos said, Hazel. Its always a gutwrencher when you leave your furry friend at the vets for summat. Fingers and paws crossed here.
Cold, cloudy but dry here. Not sure what the day has in store - a lot of laughs I think!!

Weather's coming your way, Jules - snow coming down here at the mo (although the forecast is rain and 2degrees). That run planned for lunchtime is not looking like a whole barrel of laughs.

Hope Domino isn't too traumatised by his visit, Hazel. On the subject of animals, anyone watched the new Bud 'Puppy Love' Advert? Shire Horses and a Puppy. Tissues at the ready - don't watch it if you're at work!

G4 I have that advert - so cute! Have been going thru other vid's with the tissues now too

Son has been doing his RSA course online (Responsible Service of Alcohol) needed if he wants to work anywhere where alcohol is served. Has paid for it (me) and has been studying it all week. Just been notified by email that due to a govt change, if he doesn't complete and pass it by midnight (2 hours) he will not be able to finish. Lovely. I'm even happier with the politicians than I was 5 mins ago.

Hot, hot, hot here. Had some light rain, but only enough to settle the dust this afternoon.

Best thing today is the car didn't cost nearly as much as I expected, so bought some more meat for the fortnight on the way home.

Well I'm dallying about waiting for a call from the Vet - the mobile has rung twice this morning, both times my next door neighbour. I'm to call if I haven't heard by 2pm.

I should be out running, but it is wet and cold and 'orrible, and I don't feel like taking a call from the vet in the middle of the park. Perhaps I'll just take a walk up the road for the paper.

Its been snowing here since 11-ish this morning and its just started to settle don't they know snow should be just for Christmas.

Thank you, BB and Mrs BB, that's very kind.

I've just phoned the Vet, and he's had the ultrasound done, and the receptionist says he is back in the cattery (presumably sleeping it off). I have a 4.45pm appointment when I will pick him up and when the Vet will 'have a word'. Isn't waiting around 'orrible.

In the meantime I will comfort myself with homemade bread, toasted, with a great swathe of butter and mums-friend-Beryl's homemade marmalade.

Oh, and make at least a passing attempt at a bit of work.
