  • Sorry - that was all I could manage txting from the car on the way home in the traffic jam.

He has Chronic Cholangiohepatitis which means his bile ducts are inflamed (possibly due to a past infection) which affects the workings of the gall bladder/liver. He has been prescribed anti inflametories for 3 months, then he'll have another blood test, and he should then be in the clear - hurrah, hurrah!

You've all been fantastic yesterday and today - thank you.

He's not hot on cuddles, LD, but he'll no doubt snuck up for a sneaky one in bed tonight.

          • I'm seriously contemplating a glass of something nice - but it is still January, so I would be breaking my dry-january-at-home thing.

Wonder if the Next-doors are in tonight - they always very hospitable in the open-bottle department....

            • Wahooo! that's brilliant news, so happy for you - I know how awful it is when your loved ones are poorly.

Even if the neighbours are out, take a bottle of wine and go and sit by their front door and have a drink. I think this counts as a special occasion x

Can you make a mocktail, perhaps?

                    • Whoo hoo - pleased to hear Hazel's news!!
Rosie had to be caged for chunks of today while I dealt with papers - if I try and work with papers on the table she snatches them and shreds them. So we went for a walk in the park this afternoon followed by a nice supper- now she is stretched out on the sofa beside me snoozing.
Back to normal tomorrow with two walks in the day.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Well, I suppose I could, but it's not the same as a glass of the really nice malbec that I've got in the 'cellar' (read: wardrobe)

I think I'll settle for a nice cup of tea.

                        • I'm out of tonic, Hazel, so it'll be a dry night here (watching Mr.G drinking beer ). I'll have a glass of San Pellegrino with a small dash of lime if I'm feeling adventurous!

My Dawgs were house-bound most of the day, Jeanie. They had to settle for a couple of visits to the garden, and without complaint, so I think they were still pooped from yesterday's marathon. However, they'll be climbing the walls again by tomorrow, and Osc will try his hardest to prevent me going out the door without him going first.
