I don't do facebook either, so that is particularly welcome as I love to see the beautiful things that our grapes create.

Hello all. What silly mare decided to take a tumble at the Lottie today ??? Oh yeah ME !!! Went to talk to two chaps one on his plot one on the path beside, I had something for one of them so entered his plot. Outside his shed he has decking ...........next thing I know left leg has gone in one direction sending me face down, just missed hitting my chin on a raised bed !!! Boy does my knee hurt. But I laughed so much I had tears streaming down my face ! As did the blokes once they saw that I was ok !!

If I was capable of it, I'd organise a Vine Craft Fair.....I'm sure we'd have a roomful of exhibitors. It would be helluva logistical headache though.

Had a bath as soon as I got home, now in bed resting. I refuse to have decking or paving slabs at the Lottie. Luckily we have free wood chip delivered son insure that, which I did after my fall, I re did my path and the one between plots.

Ohh,tricky one that Bin's,I would say if it's for your produce then no (sorry) but if it's for your allotment open day then yes (),the defining point here is do you personally stand to profit from said announcement

Ahh semantics,the operative word here is personal,I have been to one of Bin's allotment open days (a jolly fine event & well worth a visit by any veg grower),while there if you got thirsty & peckish there were beverages,cooked food & cakes,there was also produce from many of the allotments for sale,but no single person stood to gain,all monies raised were used for the further development of the allotments as a whole.
