Couple of jays here earlier - beautiful birds.............just had a thought
Are drab brown/grey birds (like wrens, sparrows) the goodies while the flashy, colourful ones like jays & magpies are the baddies. Discuss.............or ignore
Bluetits, chaffinches, goldfinches etc are pretty and colourful too, and they are good guys.

      • All birds have their place I just don't like some of them coming into the garden, especially the sparrowhawk that ate a blackbird in the middle of my strawberry patch yesterday
        Location....East Midlands.

        • Anything that eats something from my garden that I should be eating is a baddie, I don't care what colour it is

          • Evening all... Quiet here....

Sitting watching a movie with my four year old as eldest is on a sleepover and son is in bed... She is busy telling me about the damage an asteroid would do if it hit earth

Wondering now if it was worth my while lighting the fire
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

              • Evening Grapes and Grapesses Are we all OK?
Just seen the Gritter going up the road - bit ominous that - must be the first time this winter. Temp down to 2.4 Bit of a nasty shock for the mangetout seedlings I planted out yesterday
Hope it doesn't get any colder - March should be the start of spring, not winter.

Our forecast is for temps to drop to zero or close to for next few days, so keep an eye out...
