Why oh why does the dog have to top off her breakfast by eating something inedible? She has been outside and brought a piece of rotten wood in, which I promptly put in the bin, so out she goes and is now back in, chewing on a rose hip

I got those 'His Dark Materials' books out that grandaughter gave me to read and noticed it was a brand new boxed set, I didn't like to open them so instead I bought my own copies of ebay for £4.
So was wondering what others would have done.

Aaaaaaaaaaarternoooooooooon Peeps! Had a lovely Dog walk with our chum late this morning, and bumped into my Ma and her Hooligan. The four Dogs belted around, up and down the banks, and in and out of the flooded ditch, and had a fantastic time.

Evening All Beautiful weather for gardening - and I'm exhausted. Digging, clearing, weeding, lopping...................in need of a "heads on desks" moment Do they still do that in schools (or in offices)? Do they still have desks?.........with a china inkwell in the top corner (and an ink monitor to fill them), and a groove for your pen, and a lift up lid, covered in initials..............them were the days. I think I'm regressing..............
