I was so pleased to find a pot of craft enamel exactly the right colour to touch up a painted coat rack which had a small chip to the paint finish. So I happily dabbed it on and left it on the table to dry.

So disappointed to find that the paint had all but vanished a few minutes later. I didn't realise the wood would be so absorbent.

Then I noticed a suspicious trail of dirty paw marks and flakes of compost. Guess who had been digging in the garden a few minutes earlier. She had come in and clearly licked off my attempts to touch up!

Every dog is a critic.

Yes, afraid so Nicos. Doctors have tried all the usual treatments and he is not responding. On a ventilator in Critical Care Unit, very poorly. He has status epilepticus and has not stopped 'fitting' for a fortnight; apparently even when in a medically induced coma. It's an anxious time.

Big ((((hugs)))) Susie, fingers are still crossed for you and Hubby, I hope they get on hop of it soonest.

Anyone else glued to the Six Nations? What a great game England v Italy was. I really feel I should be doing something more constructive, but it'll all be over today, so I can catch up tomorrow, I guess. I have at least got the washing machine on the go.
