  • Afternoon All,

    I've been upstairs making tents.

Just had a spot of lunch, and now I'm going to tackle the groceries - Heaven help me.... Not looking forward to it but it has to be done.

Just to add, I got really excited and posted about multiple births. It was only 4 so far out of 16. I've got loads of seeds planted, nothing from anything else yet, but early days

        • Hazel, have you trued Craster Kipper Toasties? Can't remember which TV cheffy-person did them, but they are gaaaaawjus. Yes, you can still taste them three days later...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarternoooooooooon Peeps. Got done early today, so now home to make some sense of stuff here, except that Hubby is loitering in wait for a parcel, so has monopolised the kitchen. I've given him the option of cleaning it himself, or vacating...

          • Back from working in the Hospice kitchen, am moving back outside to the beautiful garden after next week. It's looking stunning at the moment, we were gifted 29,000, assorted bulbs last autumn, a big task putting them in, but what a show we now have, I'll take some photos, to show you.

Also did the grocery shopping, tired now, but a house full of food tho.

                      • My small cheepo greenhouse blew over yesterday & is completely bu****ed

I'd had it for five years and some of the metal frame had rusted through so when the wind caught it yesterday a lot of them snapped.

I'd set my parsnips off in toilet roll middles on Wednesday BAH !

The greenhouse is in the recycle bin.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

                        • Good Morning All and Happy Friday! Fingers crossed for the good weather Cobra and sorry to hear your blowaway blew away BW (try saying that after a gargle). It didn't owe you anything though did it? None of mine ever lasted that long. The shelves are really useful as fencing - I fashioned mine into a kind of bed sized compost area, which then turned into a pumpkin patch and this year is a bean bed! Have a good day

                          • It owed me nothing & it was a 60th birthday preasent from my wife & stepson.
I'm just a little peeved about loosing the parsnips there were about 100 of them & it took me about two hours to set them off
Still there's time to start some more off on the lottie.
P.S. Lottie dug over & ready foy the season & I will be putting my first earlies out next week
P.P.S. Greenhouse shelves salvaged & will be of use at a later date.
