You can't out smug me today, Trip - I've done 4 training session if 5 days and am enjoying a well earned rest day.

Happy Friday, all - someone go and play in some dirt on my behalf, will you?

      • Rosie and I spent most of the morning at the tyre workshop. Not only did I have to get a new front tyre, which was gashed by glass in the car park at the park yesterday, I needed two others replaced while they were at it. They also found one set of brake pads down to 30% and the tyres needed rebalancing. An expensive visit but the car certainly feels better to drive! They offer a free check on brakes, tyres and fluids on a Thursday evening and they suggested I go along in a couple of months to keep on top of it all. A service I shall certainly use in May!
And of course it helped to have a dog for everyone to fuss over and chat about while I was waiting. Rosie is a little blacker than she was, due to strokes from tyre mechanics!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

            • Just popped to Plot to take some kitchen waste, was bit nippy. In one of my new 'raised beds' that was built on top of area that was used for potatoes last year, there are potatoes coming up through the new 'filling' a mixture of homemade compost, new compost, bit of top soil. Hope this is a good sign. Don't want them there mind so they'll be out v soon.

              • I never made it to the lottie today after all. The rain was on and off, but in between was some lovely weather. Decided to have a chill instead and go down on Sunday. So I'm having a beer now, and waiting for a couple of mates to come round tonight for more beer and a few games of darts......love weekends! lol

                • Oh, and my 'Allotment invoice ' arrived, somehow it's crept up by £10.00 a year, £41.03 (daft amount) for 142 sq mtrs , which I think is bit over half a plot cos of its odd shape, + £15.00, for shed. So just over £50, £1.00 a week, not bad.

                          • I've been setting up at Transport Museum ready for the weekend . Had to load the car inbetween removal lorries blocking the path, new neighbours next door now . It's going to seem strange after 7 years . We've seen and helped them through allsorts of events and crisises over the years. Jake is going to miss them especially talking to Honey over the wall .

                              • Lol - dog is doing the 'washing up' in the kitchen - she has the crusty baking tray to sort out! Plate has already been cleaned and is now in the dishwasher. She loves her roles in life

ETA she has just brought the clean baking tray in to show me how well she is doing, love a dog that carries dishes around
