Afternoon all. Been keeping as busy as I can but had to stop as the next task is a huge pile of ironing
Maisie has really perked up on her thyroid medication - and luckily she is not struggling furiously as I pop the pills in her mouth twice a day.
Dog has been so sympathetic with me but she sees no reason to stop chasing the cat down the garden! Let's hope she realises when Maisie has a bucket on her head.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Still raining, so housework doesn't so much beckon as squeak quietly out from under a layer of scuzz.
Glad that Maisie is more perky on the thyroid tabs, Jeanie - next door's cat is on them too, and seems to take it in his stride.

I'm going to join you with tea and egg custard in a mo, Bren, now that the cat has fallen off my lap so many times that he has given up getting back on. He's using my leg as a pillow, but I think I can slide out without too many grumbles.
He's not a very cuddly cat, and in his 15 years he's only come and spontaneously sat on my lap maybe half a dozen times, so I've been happy to be idle on the settee with him for most of the afternoon.
So now I have the following things I should be getting on with:
finish cleaning bathroom
mop kitchen floor
vac upstairs
vac downstairs
make steak and kidney
run the fun run route as prep for the race next Sunday*
assemble bean frame and install at the Hill*
plant out climbing beans*
plant out dwarf beans*
outdoor items marked * prob tomorrow when it stops raining.
RIght - that's enough to be getting on with - I'd better get on. Glass of apple wine when I've finished the cleaning stuff, I think.

Really creepy thing happened today at the end of my road there's a house which is old fashioned looking single pane glass wooden framed and for the past month or so when I take the huskys out for the night time stroll I have been seeing a lady in the window and sometimes I give a wave being a friendly neighbour. I have always thought the house was empty so I presumed someone had moved In. Whilst walking past this morning I noticed a young couple in the garden so I made conversation and ask do they know lady who lives there they looked quite puzzled and said nobody lives there so I insisted that I have seen a lady for quite awhile now in the window at night they then replied with "the only person to have lived in this house in the past year was my mother and she passed about 6 months back were just come round to show the new tenants round as we are renting out ...... I honestly thought my heart had been sucked into my throat so I walked past tonight and the same thing she was stood there at the window looking out sh had her arms folded smoking a cigerette I decided not to walk back the same-way as I was sh""""ng myself.you see I have never been a believer of that supernatural stuff and never took interest but that's sooooooo weird

However, I would carry on past the house and give Mrs ghost a friendly wave. You can do with all the pals you can get in this world and the next - and the huskies would be first to tell you if there was anything to be worried about.
