              • Moooooooooornin' Peeps! Sorry to hear about Oli. Poor li'l chap. We had another terrific storm last night, so Osc was shakin' and shiverin' between us on the bed most of the night. This was with herbal calming tablets in his brekkie and dinner. He had more today in his brekkie too, just in case.

Just been out to do morning Horsey chores and show off George. Came back the 'pretty' way, and he's now covered in mud an' leaves, just like a Landy should be.

                Coffee?

                • Just read your post about Oli, Hazel - I am so sorry. Sending hugs and tail wags from this side of the screen.

Just got back from a scorching walk in the park - we were escorted part of the way by 4 jays - and I found some more wild plums
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                  • Hope they weren't Mockinjays Jeanie, or you've been caught in the middle of The Hunger Games. It's been wet here all day, though very warm. Rainy days were indeed made so gardeners can get the housework done

                    • Oh Hazel, how sad about Oli (((((((((Hugs)))))))))

Himself says there are some flights from Heathrow cancelled this evening Jeanie because of the threat of thunderstorms, so you'd better batten down the hatches.

                      • I know, they have said they are expecting thunderstorms and hail between 4pm and 6pm. I think the storms are going to be late as we have blue skies at the moment!

I have just been looking round for something to throw over my pots of tomatoes in case we get hail - I have found a couple of net curtains so I hope they will do!

                        • Lovely and bright at the moment Jeanied, didn't know about any bad weather tonight. Will look on the net in a mo, and then not say a word. Him that won't let me have an awning can have the pleasure of rescuing his toms from the hailstones. Woman scorned and all that

                          • Storm just beginning here - it's black with a spattering of rain and a few claps of thunder. SKY signal is off an on. Golden girls due in less than half an hour, so they'll have to run from the car if the storm is in full swing when they arrive. I can't protect my toms, so I'll leave it to fate to see if the flowers are bashed off!
