[Strawberry patch]

Good evening peeps...Just finished reading the girls there bedtime storys...Time for a bit of ME time..Gonna have a cuppa tea and watch my fav soaps..

Sounds like a great day anyway - assuming that you weren't banking on the bass. I can picture a table surrounded by GL, Mrs GL and various generations of little GL's all sitting round empty plates holding knives and forks, and looking glum. Tell me it ain't so?

I managed to find some stale bread and water Hazel.........kids wanted ice cream and chips and we know a wonderful takeaway

Here it will be a salmon fillet with homegrown spuds, beans, and .... um ...... I'm sure that there is something else.........what can it be.....?

Before that I'm going to rack and stabilise a dj of blueberry & apple fruit t bag wine, and one of rhubarb wine. I could do with them clearing and getting them into bottles. I have a batch of cooking apple, rhubarb and red fruits to get underway, and a bucket of apple wine started last night too.

Don't know where the evenings go - I had a wallow; then tea (salmon cooked in foil with soy sauce, ginger and mango - DEEEELISH!!) with the inevitable courgettes and french beans; then a chat with Patti Next-door when she came round to borrow some icing sugar; and went out for last orders at Tuesday-pub-with-music.

But didn't get the wines racked, so that's for another day.

And now time to turn in - nos da, peeps!

It looks sunny outside from here behind the desk. Plenty to do today - must get the day's work done along with the hair dresser coming round at 11.0 for best part of two hours...

Hope all are well - have a great gardening day, you folks who can - pick a courgette for me. Well, no, don't do that, but you know what I mean.

Nice brekkie BB!

We had a fry up last Sunday at the Vide Grenier ( car boot sale) we did....6 of us had bacon, sausages,fried eggs, black pudding and baked beans and a big mug of tea

We got some interesting looks as it was cooking...it smelled and tasted wonderful......especially after the ridiculously early start!

Its all blue sky and sunshine and I'm a happy little chicken. Just eaten fresh figs from the garden - summer is a-coming in

We bought a tray of nectarines yesterday from a van passing the house ...cost a bit more than usual but heck...no petrol to pay to get to market etc....

And do you know what?...they are the sweetest,juiciest,flavoursome nectarines we have ever eaten!

Pity we can't get our hands on another tray!

Summer flavour indeed

Think this afternoon we may need to gave a wander in the garden to see if there is any frost damage though...forecast said 7C so we presumed we'd be OK

Lovely sunny morning here, washing on the line. Made the GG banana and strawberry parfait minus granola for breakfast, lovely and healthy. Grandad has just come back from the bakers with fresh bread - and doughnuts! Yes, she ate one sitting in the sun, bliss. There goes my healthy start to the day theory.
Froze some cherry tomatoes yesterday, we just can't eat enough. They will be nice in pasta sauce I hope.
