    Evening all...
Enjoyable spin on the bike today and kept my record of increasing my distance each time.. Seventh outing ( I think) today and I managed 108k...
Now enjoying a well deserved glass of red...the pickling of the jalapeños can wait
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

    • Good Morning All. How quickly Monday comes around. There's a definite nip in the air this morning, but it's bright and I keep having to remind myself it's getting towards the end of September. Starting to get the tomato plants down is the plan for tonight. Have a good day

        • Morning all! It's bright and shiny outside, and that's not just an opinion from behind the desk - I've been out sweeping up the conkers off the drive.

It's a bit of a thankless task at the mo as they are raining down every there is a bit of a breeze; but if you drive over the shells they leave a 'orrible brown stain on the blocks, and for what that drive cost, I'm keen to keep it looking good, which means clearing the conkers.

Domino sitting here asking for breakfast number three. He's decided that Candy Next-door's Whiskas pouches are tastier than his (more expensive) felix ones - a situation which would last until precisely the moment that I buy a great box of whiskas, and open the first pouch. He won't like them then.

          • Somebody tie my hands down please. The dog sanctuary that I got Rosie from has two spaniel puppies newly in - one springer and one cavalier x springer. Soooo tempting.

But, Rosie can't be bothered with puppies these days and the cat really deserves a medal and a quieter life.

I'm just going to peek on their website to see if they have posted photos up yet...
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

              • Oh my goodness, can't believe how long it's taking and what a big job it is taking down 30 tomato plants, 4 sack fills all ready, and that's just the foliage + about another 10 lbs of toms.

Assume will be a good idea to dispose of compost on raised beds at allotment ? Can transport up there in rubble sacks

                      • Seriously, tho, I suppose the longer you keep it the better the flavours will be, but I did gave snow today with some cheese at lunchtime, the 'leftover ' small amount, that doesn't fit in a jar.

                            • Good afternoon. Been sleeping most the day, back on night shift again tonight 2 more shifts and a training course after today and then I am off working for 11 days

Not sure what I am going to cook me and my fella for tea tonight. I know it involves chicken, garlic, tinned tomatoes and a pepper. I am sure I will think of something. Anyway, hope your all well
