I used to frequent a secondhand shop and when I was in there browsing one day, I heard a customer ask: Would that sofa fit in my front room?

I had to hang about just to see if the shopkeeper knew the couple, but clearly he didn't, as he patiently explained they'd have to go back and measure the space.
