I have warned my outlaws, both in their 80s, about these kind of scams. It's worrying, because I suspect they would be very frightened and be completely taken in. Thank you for letting us know.

I have let my mom know too- she's in her 80s too and quite rightly said...why on earth would someone do that to someone else?
There are some unpleasant people about aren't there?

If your mum is anything like my outlaws Nicos, she's too trusting. I just can't get it through to them that times are not like they used to be! They've only just started to keep the doors locked when they are in the house.
