I remember going on the whisky trail on Spayside in the 80s- great fun.

I do quite like haggis (although not with boozy sauce as I find that too strong) and also like neeps and tatties but don't feel any connection with Burns night so not for tonight. Had a lovely curried goat though
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Does an overcooked Cheese and Onion Pastie count for Burns night? It was a bit burnt at the edgesLast edited by veggiechicken; 25-01-2014, 08:05 PM.

Oooooh Alison - I love Curry Goat!
We had roast chicken, and overcooked veg, as Hubby wasn't concentrating. I bit into an overcooked (VERY overcooked) Parsnip, then burst out laughing. He glared at me, and apologised for the burnt veg. I couldn't tell him it was Burns night until I'd finished laughing. He did see the funny side. All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

Forgot to get my haggis and Tesco's were sold out.
Anyway, had to make do with black pudding, cumberland sausage and neeps (small swedes from the allotment).
It twas very filling, and dare I say it, tastier than the scottish stuff!
Couldn't find my Rabbie Burns poetry book to read........sad, because I really enjoy his poetry! Wee sleekit cowerin beastie an al that.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
