  • Beardy!

Any of you gentlefolk have a beard? Have always thought about, but get to about a month, and the itching drives me bonkers. I'd planned on starting another one, but am currently on the job market, so think I may shave for any interviews, just in case I'm judged as being a scruffy bugger!

How do/did you lot get past the itchy phase? Does it last long?

Eeeeeewwwww - hate hate hate them.

I always wonder a) What's living in them? b) What they're hiding, and c) Why is the wearer hiding behind one?

No, I don't have one. But then, I am female.

Aah, yes, Psoriasis. My Hubby is a sufferer. His cure is sunshine - two weeks in the Caribbean and it went. When it came back it was much less aggressive. He doesn't get it on his face though, but his Brother does.

                    REALLY!!? Mothhawk?

Definitely not, in my opinion. OK, Ben Affleck does look better with a beard. George Clooney, well, don't get me started, he can wear whatever he wants. Or not. (Preferably not, but this is a family forum ) As for t'others. Nope. Sorry.

Have to add, some of the nicest blokes I've known, are/were bearded, but I always wondered why they grew them, and they never could answer me.

Mine was originally grown to keep my face warm in the winter when riding my motorcycle back in the days of open faced crash helmets G4

I must admit, I have a bit of a weakness for men with beards and/or moustaches (is that a word?). Himself sported a rather dashing moustache for years, but shaved it off when his hair went white!

Oh, I agree G4. I looked through the first 6 pages and the only one I thought looked better with a beard was Alexander Siddig. But then, without a beard he did look like Mr Bean
