Thanks BB, but 'it's OK, I've still got 3 more packets I haven't opened yet, one lot the same, (hey, maybe that one's got my missing 5 seeds in it!) and two different ones - I'm staggering their sowing a bit.
Plus some home saved seeds that were sown in Sept and are sitting outside under a cloche

So I've got 20 heavier than average seeds. Put them to sprout on kitchen roll. One has turned to mush and rotted. After a week, only seven so far have started to sprout. So I reckon that indicates that although the seeds are heavier, they've just got thicker coats on, not more food store and growing potential.

I've potted up the sprouted seeds, and unzipped the coats of the others to see if that will make them get a move on.

Probably they'll take offence and die now
