  • View from the lottie/garden

I thought it would be nice if we had a thread of views from our plots, it sparked my mind when looking at the allotment site in aberdovey yesterday which looks out over the estuary from halfway up the hill.

I know pyrennesplot has a lovely view from her garden as does VC, what about the rest of you, do you have any snapshots of your view you don't have to say where you are if you don't want to, or perhaps you have taken a photo of a view from an allotment site when on holiday (what I can;t be the only one thats drawn to vegetable plots on holiday!!)

I'll see if I can take a snap of mine later for you, it won't be the best but I like it.

My back yard is in a terraced street which just backs onto another street. No pretty pictures from me I'm afraid

I look forward to seeing what views luckier people have

We don't have much of a view from our allotment as we are pretty flat, but we do get some fab sunsets

I can see a castle from my garden, which is nice, and a big mountain looking the otherway.. My plot doesn't have a good view really, will have a look to see if I have any photos !

I would have a lovely view of river and castle, but unfortunately our site is surrounded by tall trees.

              Construction:

Some before/during/after photos of mine on my blog

              Vegetable Patch

No vistas as such, its surrounded by trees and hedges - which keep the wind out, but also provide rather a lot of shade in Winter, and make the frost slow to clear; although I have started to mow a path through some rough grass, and plan to make an opening in the perimeter hedge to have a borrowed-view across the surrounding farmland

If I look the other way from mine I have a typical farm - rusting and rotting machinery, mostly piled up on our boundary, and a couple of tied-up dogs! And next door is a building site ...

Urban views are interesting, though. We used to live on a hill in Plymouth and I'd watch the good folk of Plymstock for hours when I was unemployed. And then there was that flat in Kilburn ...

I managed to find an old shot from the lottie on my machine which shows some of the rolling hills behind my plot, beyond them there hills the land drops away to the sea. Not that the view interested me that much when this was taken...
