I'd ask the vet too, Ancee. Dogs and cats can get water infections and it would be better to know.

I would think you could cut him down to 2 meals a day now Ancee - Feed your puppy four meals a day up until the age of four months, and then reduce its feed to three meals a day until it is six months old, when you can change to two meals a day, and keep it on this regime for the rest of its life. - See more at: Dog Food Advice For Puppies & Adult Dogs

These will probably be sideways - as I can't figure out how to put them the right way up! They also aren't brilliant quality!

Yep I think this is one to chat over with the vet. It could be a sign of an underlying bladder problem so they may want to take a sample for analysis.
Being an intermittent sleeper, I used to take Rosie out in the middle of the night for a wee until she was 6 months old - then she started to refuse to come out of her crate and I got the message. I installed a baby alarm in the kitchen so I know if she is fretting at night (six squid from T***o).Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

We are going to cut his meals to 2 a day. He'll be devastated - he lives to eat! He is a handsome little chap, love him to bits, little bear cub that he is! Though, I am biased being his Mother and all! Very intelligent too, couldn't imagine life without him, so, we have to sort out his new problem, otherwise my electricity bill will be sky high! You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

If he has a bladder infection, he'll be reluctant to wee when you take him out, and when he does it will probably be brighter yellow and smelly. If he wees normally, I'd say you have little to worry about.
Going back to his food. 'Puppy' and 'Junior' have high protein levels (and not always the right proteins) which can cause problems. Cutting him down to 'Adult' or even 'Light' if his weight is an issue (looked fine in the pictures), that may help him, too.All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

He has no qualms about that G4. It's not smelly either, just floods of the stuff. Thanks for your help everyone, I'll let you know how we are getting on.You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

Oh no, I didn't mean that, misunderstanding, I mean I don't have a dog, so can't comment, only a very old cat!Last edited by Dorothy rouse; 02-02-2014, 07:52 PM.DottyR

Another thought comes to mind at six months he could be at the stage in life where he is loosing his milk teeth and growing his adult set. This will be uncomfortable/painful does he have something hard to chew on?
