Well you lot got my taste buds going so just had "crumpets" with melted cheese on them..............gonna have nightmares now........

Crumpets and pikelets are similar in recipe. As I understand it, crumpets use a ring to shape em and pikelets are freeform
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
Spread honey over your crumpet then roll up (like a Swiss roll) and enjoy with a hot cuppa. You cant do that with the smaller thingamyjig what ever you call it.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Pikelets / crumpets have other uses, If you have to brave very cold weather, get some ear defenders and slip a hot one next to each ear then pin down with the ear defenders. This also means that if you get stuck in a snow drift you have something to eat. probably best not to butter them too much.

I like pancakes with jam all rolled up for the ease of chowing down.
