Oh Nicos this made me cry.
I have had two cats for the past 11 years. (brothers) Well one of them was so badly mauled by some other animal that we had to have him put to sleep last Tuesday. The othert cat has now stopped eating and er fear he is fretting. We are at our wits end. Any advice welcomed.

Oh gosh bramble...that wasn't my intention...but I'm really so sorry to hear your news.

My advice???...fuss over your other cat as much as he will let you- he too will be missing his brother.
He'll appreciate more of your company.
Perhaps plant a fruit tree or bush in memory of him?...or catmint which his brother will enjoy?

          * sends big hugs your way xx

Give him a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel to cuddle up to.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Nicos, that was really funny -poom! Isn't it mad how these standoffish little creatures work their ways into our hearts? We love them and they barely tolerate us!
Bramble, so sorry to hear of your little one.
Our little scrawny cat (we cannot fatten him up) was 'got' by something. His poor paw and half way up his leg almost looks like it's been in one of those old bear traps out of a western. Or, he's had his paw in a can with the lid still half on and he's pulled it out. Ouch, poor little guy. He's forever being mugged too! We've stopped buying him sparkly collars as I think the other sparkle-less cats round here are jealous of him and his bling!
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

                        Then I found this -

                          Only seeing this now....
                          Very amusing Nicos..

Bramble, so sorry to hear that...

My cat is so funny............She follows me if I go calling to neighbour's house and will sit outside until I am going home and will walk home alongside me like a dog
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
