Although I do favour American pancakes over regular ones - and drop scones are a very different thing in my house Mikey. American pancakes should be light and fluffy even though they are thicker. Delicious with maple syrup and butter and crisp streaky bacon. Yum!Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
Endless wonder.

This is the home of the Galette and the Crepe so we eat a lot all year round. Yum. The galettes are made with buckwheat flour which gives them a lovely flavour for savoury fillings.Last edited by Patchninja; 05-03-2014, 08:00 AM.

I'm often woken up at 5am to go and make pancakes.. We didn't have any yesterday, as we tend to have them quite often too.
Golden Syrup here.. Or fruit that's had some sugar sprinkled on so it starts to break down a bit.
My kids like honey on there, with some fruit to make faces or funny things. I've now taken to writing their names in the batter too

To eat pancakes any other time of the year is most uncivilised, similarly turkey is only for Christmas, if we dont stick to these traditions how the hell would we know what time of year it is. I am convinced that to disregard these conventions is likely to lead to moral corruption and a gradual disintigration of our hard won Britishness. Furthermore they have to be sugar and lemon or we are inviting terrible retribution such as hurricanes and earthquakes. It is these traditions coupled with our stiff upper lip that is the reason for our mild climate.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html
