  • My lottie neighbour was not impressed....his opinion was ...they must've brought all the soil in new , that new there wasn't even any worms ......

good point on the fruit . I have blueberry bushes and even tho' they crop well they are about three years old and you can't pick enough in one go to make a panfull of jam . So unless they've got about half a dozen mature bushes where have they got them from?
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig
a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber

You'll have to try out the cwtch too - preferably on a stranger who looks in need or .............has large radishes

Rubbish reality TV - Don't think I will be watching any more of it.
The only kind word I have for the programme is - at least Simon Cowell isn't in it
"...Very dark, is the other side, very dark."

"Shut up, Yoda. Just eat your toast."

                        • It must have cost the contestants a fortune in pot-grown, established fruit bushes, roses, lilies and other flowering plants. And that's just the first 2 episodes!

I have 3 blueberry bushes in acid soil in a raised bed in my fruit cage and they actually crop really well. Got 5 litres off them last year.
One thing that made me laugh about the programm was the radish showing. I'm not the only mad one that carefully manicures dodgy looking veg for the local village show!i never appreciated just how difficult it is to get a set of anything that matches. Also the sheer delight that was shown by the winners...nothing like a "first"
