It was the same with ours. She was a whippet and fortunately we were able to take to a racing dog specialist. I had to massage her a couple of times a day with some sort do embrocation. Like a heat treatment.

My wife has not been back that long my dog was laying in his bed and started to yelp he ran over to me???? This is weird because he usually seeks comfort in my wife so I climbed onto the floor to stroke and reassure him and he has yelped again and started shaking I'm so worried he has been to the vet so now I really do feel helpless my wife is currently looking into 24 hour services in cardiff
He is now back in his bed I have crawled over to him and he fell asleep while I was stroking him
Arrrrgggghhhhhhhh I don't know what to do he is obviously hurting somewhere and I just can't help himIn the following link you can follow my recent progress on the plot

Poor thing. Hope you all get some sleep tonight and that it's better in the morning.
You can get doggy herbal calm-you-down tablets, you know. Mum had some for her dog some years ago for her nerves at firework time (that's the dog, not mum). They were quite strong - first time she had a couple she was out for the count.
Just thinking that your dog panicking at the sharp pain probably isn't helping if it's muscular/nerve related, and some sort of sedative might be useful in this circumstance.

We have phoned a second vet who has said what were describing is quite common as it's only been happening after he was playing in the garden he's not a vocal dog so the yelping has really worried us but said the symptoms are not excessive he may have just twisted himself and to let him ride it out over night my wife just followed him around the garden and observed that he went to the toilet (both)
Hopefully he will be feeling better by tomorrowIn the following link you can follow my recent progress on the plot

Poor boy! I hope he is ok in the morning as the vet seems to think. I am guessing you might not get much sleep, they do worry us so.When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Hope your dog is ok soon. We've had a few similar things with our big dogs who are very active. They will sometimes have jumped off the deck or turned sharply and yelp. But after worrying a while they seem to come right on their own.
I cant get the horse chiro atm because there are so many horse and dog shows on the coast! So pulling muscles and bones out of place is not unheard of.Ali

My dog seemed ok last night no yelping so thought he was ok until we let him out this morning yelping began he had a wee come back into his bed then half an hour ago. Yelp ran to me and was shaking like crazy!
