Showed no signs at the vet but my wife showed a video and said it indicates muscle pain or trapped nerve so he has now got a week of pain killers feeling happy that he has been seen by OUR/HIS vet

Never been much of a fan of out of hour vets, they never appear to do much and you do wonder if they are worth seeing at all. But as it is your pet so they have you over a barrel. The important thing is that you dog is getting better.

Such a relief, I bet. I find it so difficult if they're under the weather, and an unsympathetic Vet must've made it even harder. Hopefully the painkillers will give him a chance to heal. Big ((HUGS)) for him from me.

Sounds just like my dog's problems. You'll have to watch that the pain killers don't deaden the pain so much that he thinks he's cured and is over active - making it worse. So keep him quiet and don't let him jump around. Raise his food and water up so that he doesn't have to stretch down to reach them. I know its obvious but I'm going to say it anyway

The painkillers have seemed to have calmed him down at least he had a nice nights sleep still a but slow but not heard a yelp since yesterday!

Thanks everyone it's not cool when you can't communicate with your dog when he's in pain/ill it's even worse when your limited with what you can do with a cast on but he seems to be sorted now.

                          Seriously thanks guys
