Saw a few this afternoon. Poor things must have wished they'd stayed the Spanish side of the Pyrenees as it was 4 degrees and throwing it down. Brrrr. Summer is coming :-)

Not seen any here yet. Always delighted to see them. You know summer's just around the corner when the first ones arrive.

We have swallows nesting every year in the roof of an out building. I always look forward to seeing them... Not here yet!Comment

Ours haven't turned up yet - they have nested in our outhouse for five years now and I hope they will be here again.

They're starting to arrive? That's a good sign. Swallows (and swifts and house martins) are such beautiful birds. An English summer wouldn't be summer without them.Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.

I'm not far from Nicos but they have only arrived herein the last couple of days. They are showing interest in the cow shed, we have had them nesting in there for several years now.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poetComment
