Not sure whether this is legal or whether the law turns a blind eye? I have bought way too many seeds for my small garden and if they all germinate I'll have to get rid of the surplus. We have few neighbours (holiday lets and second homes) so I wondered if it was OK to put them outside our garden gate with an honesty box, a few pence a plant? I haven't got an allotment, I grow them in my garden so no allotment rules apply.

If possibly try a car boot, free cycle or a local Facebook group then you can state what you do and don't wantIn the following link you can follow my recent progress on the plot

I would get a load of thin envelopes and put a stone on top, just ask people to post the money through the letterbox in an envelope provided.
I've grown far too many things this year already, which is why I'm looking for a bigger greenhouse!!!, I like to go the other way, don't sell them expand your garden!!I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I read this last year (not plants, but produce);
VIDEO: Hundreds share alleged theft clip from Rhossili trust box belonging to photographer Mark Button | South Wales Evening Post
Though they did catch him;

I have loads of extra plants, I'll offer some to our my boy's school,family,neighbours etc and if my missus does a car boot and there are any left by then she can take them too.
I have considered selling some here with an honesty box. Maybe one day.While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

I do know on the continent they have their own way of selling things from home. When I was a lad I went on a trip to Amsterdam with my uncle Jim, we saw a lot of red lights in peoples windows, when I asked what they were for he told me it was a sign that they are selling stuff. So you could try that.Last edited by Bill HH; 02-04-2014, 11:34 AM.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Uncle Jim's grammar wasn't very good Bill, or you mis-heard him, it was the Verb "stuff", not the nounK's Garden blog the story of the creation of our garden
