Am I are boring old fart?

    Boring?...can be
    Old?....getting that way
Fart?...well, I have been blessed with this ability!!

Do I look like a gardener?...well, I do tend to buy new clothes thinking if they will be practical in the garden when they get old!
...and yup I mostly look like a scarecrow (or builder's mate) during my waking hours!

I used to have a lot of "old" clothes, now they've transformed into "gardening" clothes. I'm forever finding bits of twine and labels in pockets of things that've gone through the wash

I know the feeling, packets of soggy, radish seeds, in pockets of jeans that have been put through the wash.

Not sure what a gardener is meant to look like but guess that when I am gardening I probably both look and act like a gardener

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                Shame on you....

Clearly still a novice, a Tilley hat is a hat for life, check out their guarantee here.

All good gardeners hate waste, unless you can turn it into compost.

Just had a thought....bronzed, scratched forearms are quite a giveaway...not to mention the state of my hands and nails!

                  How attractive eh?

I look fine so long as I check that my knees are clean before I go out the front door.

But to a fellow gardener, they would be beauty marks Nicos.

My mother used to say when I was a little boy, you can't go out until you've washed your face and combed your hair. She never commented on my knees strangely enough.

Bren, you just reminded me of Susie, the lovely Piskieboots. Haven't seen her on here for an absolute age.

On subject of thread though, I reckon we'd get some funny looks if we wore our dinner suits or other finery whilst on the plot. Up market people dress down to go gardening. Now where's my video of Rosemary and Thyme?
