Either way, mark the occasion of 30,000 posts by two_shed
TS had the occasion marked at 25,000 posts,I'm not sure what if anything else may have been given, but definitely she got to choose her own personal ranking .... compost everything ..
which sums up her ethos nicely

Thanks for that, I hadn't spotted the moniker. I expect I was AWOL at the time, so apologies for not realising.
Concerning the not wanting the MoM you can decline a nighthood so i dont see the issue but as kristen suggested abit the 'old timers' (my words) having a visible system that shows us whos who would be a good idea..but not based on posts..if your a wobblegob like me your posts can be high and yet o dont kbow much...yet monty don could join the forum and be on 1 post yet use a. alias so we didnt kbow who he was and he would be considered less knowledgeable jist because be has fewer posts than me who talks jibberish abouf everything and asks endless questions..i know we have the sprouter and guru system but maybe award stars to MoM's that stay as a permanant feature and each time yhey get mom add another star and have a max of 5or10 stars?? But at the end of the day we are all here because we share a passuon and all need advice sometimes and mosg of us receive advice....feel the love
I think (maybe wrong though?) that MoM is (or has been ) a one-time-only thing?
Here's the list of MoM's to date.http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...tml#post281520
Two Sheds has been a MoM 3 times, the last time was November.
I've been MoM twice - and I have to say that I was quite overwhelmed by it, especially the 2nd time. To be chosen by the other Grapes for MoM status was an honour, not given out lightly. I shall continue to regard it as such.

Don't they have badges like that in McDonalds?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I've been doing this gardening malarkey for decades, think of myself as knowing a thing or two about it, and am consistently surprised and enlightened by the line of thought that Two_Sheds so frequently comes out with
With respect Kristen, Two_Sheds has been MOM three times and her 25,000 post was celebrated by her ability to change her status form gardening Guru to whatever she wants.
It may not seem a lot- but even we Mods don't get more than a free magazine for all the effort we put in.
Your posts ARE truely valued too - which is why your name was put forward by other members of the Vine.
The idea is that you get a token gift from the magazine in appreciation of your contribution ...and you can puff up with pride to think that other people really do appreciate your contribution to this site!
The idea is that this is a helpful community- and you are clearly a popular member which hopefully should bring a smile to your face
The system of 'titles' and MOMs was set up way before I was a Mod- and was there when I joined up nearly 9 years ago and has only really been seriously questioned once to my knowledge in all that time.
However, we are glad to hear alternative ideas and are happy to discuss all this behind the scenes with Admin and implement what they finally decide.
It's no problem at all you declining the banner Kristen- it was just a bit of a shock to us all.
As I said, your posts are a wealth of information and much appreciated/respected!
Thank you!
