It depends on what i am doing, If i am trimming my Bonsai trees I wear my Kimono with strict intstructions that i am to be called Mr Miyagi. Or should I be working on real trees then its the check shirt, jeans and braces with the name of "Chuck" If you find me in the rockery I will be sporting the latest in leotards under the name of Ugh. If I am making girly flower arrangements then I have a cheeky little number and go by a name only known to my wife.
The reality is that I start the day in my best clothes and inevitably have to check something in the garden, 2 hours later I look like Jed Clampit.

Old jeans (that don't really fit anymore), plus old shirt / jumper/ anorak depending on the weather.

Except of course for the day mentioned in the original post......

Whatever I happen to be wearing at the time, providing it's not a suit. I don't do digging and stuff anyway, so other than humping around the odd pot, planter or bag of soil/compost, it's not an issue

I have a beaten up pair of jeans, a beaten up coat that gets worn in all weather and a pair of trainers that have got several holes in the sole and leak in wet weather. I always dress for comfort no point in having impractical clothing making the job harder.
Best is when I run late and have to get the kids in this getup.

I have a set of waterproofs permanently hung outside so these get thrown over the top of what I'm wearing..............when I remember......................mi wellies are stuck upside down on canes..........

I have tried very hard to divide my clothes into those for gardening and those not. However this does not work. Had a job interview the other day and realised I had no trousers smart enough and no smart shoes either. I know I should buy myself some new decent clothes but think what I could spend that money on at the garden centre instead.....
