  • 3 questions that need answering please :D

Firstly have I rescued an Echinacea or a weed (thinking plantain!)?
Secondly, this is 'growing' inside our shed on the roof, think I've seen a large wasp or possibly a bee - any ideas anyone?
Thirdly, I planted tomato - red alert and have this - anyone have a clue what I've grown?!

There are other mysteries in my garden - I'll be back!...

      1. Oh no - Wonder what happened to my Echinacea! (Do chickens eat plantain?)
      2. Oh no!!! Will it be just the one? I won't mind one, but if he brings his mates...
      3. I got the seeds off you so hoped you'd know!!! Am rubbish at putting photos on here straight!

Me too! I used to be able to put photos in straight but these days they all come in upside down or on their side!

I think it's a new nest as I've fleetingly seen the occupant
Will it get larger? oh no!
I think the weed is going to flower!

Glad it's not just me chasing your 3 rd picture around my I pad! Wasp nests do look amazing if you have a look at them, all layered up wood. Preferably when it's empty.

I have to open my own photos in Paint (free on microsoft pooters) then rotate them, then save them, then post them on here

sounds complicated, but it's not. You can also crop the photo to get rid of useless background, and write captions on them if you want

What compost are you using Ancee? this shouldn't happen in brand new MPC (but I get a lot of weedlings if I use homemade composts)

Vc - I think that's it! Two Sheds, I bought compost to plant them in (some from B&Q, some from B&M and some from Lidl) Can't remember which one I used though. I've had loads of little mushrooms growing too, so I'm not impressed

The wasp nest is unlikely to end up with a population more than 100,000, you might consider squishing it.

That's common with wood-based composts that haven't quite finished decomposing. The fungi are decomposing the bits of partially rotted wood
