We rented a castle near Haverford west once "Roche castle" nearly scared the kids to death what with dugeons and suits of armour. Great beach nearby too.

No. A doversole has both its eyes on the same side of its head.

Most definitely not a racist comment unless you are a fish (or chip). Besides racism does not apply to the British as it come under the heading of friendly banter. it's the price the Welsh, Scottish and irish have to pay to be associated with the superior English.

No offence meant.....no more 'racist' than the other toings and froings in the name of humour in this thread!

Was that a Raybonist comment then?

Only just spotting this comment, what is exactly wrong with being shut on a Sunday? It makes far more sense than being open (and having to work) seven days a week like you loonies across the border....

Due to my holidays I have only just seen this thread, some comments on which have made me laugh out loud into my rhubarb wine!

Many congrats, Bill - I raise a glass to you, MoM.

I've never tried Rhubarb wine before, what's it like Hazel? give me an appraisal of its bouquet, colouration and its alcohol content....
