  • Confirmation - technology is rubbish

    Without a little human input...

How does the small arrow in the screen of the computer work when we move the mouse? Haven't you ever wondered how it works? Now through the miracle of high technology, we can see how it is done. With the aid of a screen magnifying lens, the mechanism becomes apparent.

Go to: http://www.1-click.jp/ and put your arrow in the shaded circle.

Nice one HW. But what I found scary was when I had a computer problem and opted to have it fixed by remote assistance. It was really scary to watch some guy in the USA moving my mouse about the screen and clicking into this and that.
He didn't fix the problem. I did it myself by setting the date and time to corect setting. (Problem was repeated cookies are not enabled message when cookies were enabled) They gave me a free credit to fix another problem. Needless to say I haven't used them again. I reckon if I could sort that I don't need their expertise.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

It is a weird experience Alice. The Helpdesk at work sometimes have to do it on our computers and although they are on the same site it is still bizarre watching the arrow on the screen without doing anything.

                  Very surreal.
