  • What a lovely site!

I came here today with a raft of questions (most of which I found had already been asked, so I've escaped looking like a complete numpty) but I've been so pleased to find it's not just a question and answer site but a thriving community of like minded people.

This is my first year really going at it with vegetable gardening and I'm loving it so much. It's so great to find other people to share with and to learn from!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Totally agree Seahorse, I find the advice and encouragement on here great, such friendly and helpful people. This site does add to my enjoyment of a fantastic hobby.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

I concur, but that's another story!

Not being from good gardening stock, or having any interest in th epast I have taken on my plot with something of an open mind.

The encouragement, advice and knowledge available on this site is second to none - the humour ain't arf bad either.

Keep up the good work one and all.

Yep messing about with dirt is very therapeutic so you only find laid back types on here.....not like the Ebay technical forum .....!

Hi Seahorse, thanks for the compliments. We're all keen gardeners, but human beings as well with, it sometimes seems a crazy sense of humour. Plenty of good advice, friendship too - what more could you want? As you keep visiting (and posting I hope) you will get to know some of us quite well, even though you may never actually meet us.

                  Hi Seahorse and Welcome

Its my first year of growing as well and I wouldn't be doing half so well without ALL of the people on this forum. They are all wonderful and happy to share the laughter and the disappointments of gardening and life.

Hi Seahorse and welcome. It is rather addictive but it is lovely to be able to chat with like minded souls on this forum. I often end up at the lottie on my own so it's great to be able to share it all with others no matter how far away they are in geographical terms.
                      Bright Blessings

Hi Seahorse, pull up a log and sit down! It's so good to chat to people who don't respond with glazed eyes when you natter on about your seedlings! Lots of people ask questions, lots of people give answers and none of us knows so much that they don't pick up new tips and advice here. You'll find as you get to know people that you could almost target your questions. We each have our own favourite veg and/or method of growing. Lots of lovely people here. I've only been a member since March myself but I really feel at home here.

It's nice to have other areas to look into, wine making, chickens, cookery section, and maybe oneday a section on bees?
There is so much 'Stuff' here.
                          Brilliant!!!!
