Hi guys this may seem like a daft question, but can anyone tell me the difference between the Blog and Forum parts. I looked up "blog" (I really am that inept) and it said it was a sort of online diary. Would that be the place to document the progress of my garden project, and how do I go about it. Hope I put this question in the right place on the forum.

Yes Bal, it is exactly that, a record or diary of your events. There is some info here on starting one:

Hi Bal. If you want to start a Blog on the forum you do it through your profile page. - Some of us view other Grapes' Blogs but its more personal than posting on the open Forum.
If you want to start your own thread about your progress, perhaps with photos (she said hopefully) you can

Thanks guys, I really want to do a pictorial record of our garden project, we have grand plans, but whether they come to fruition or not we will see. I had started an old fashioned scrap book but it's hard to put the photos in properly.

Hi Bigmally, really hoping you are still with us. I have written a blog, but it does not show up in my profile does that mean I need to do something to post it?

'Bal has no blog entries to display'

mines on the vine and can be accessed by clicking my name then 'blog entries'

I wrote it on this site by going through my profile. I can see it but it seems no one else can. I did save it as a draft several times as I was writing it, but I did then select save changes. I couldn't find a "post blog" button like there is on the forums page.

Thanks vegiechicken I got to your blog by going through the blogs tab at the top. What can I do about the blog I have already written. It took me ages to add the photos. Do I have to do it all again? Sorry to be such an idiot, but me and IT have never been friends!

Have you saved it as a draft?
If so, click on the little "edit" pen and it the blog post should reappear for editing.
If you're happy with it, go down to the Misc Options drop down box and change "Draft Blog Entry" to "Publish Now"
