  • I never had 'rags' in my hair, had hatefully curly hair, we used to 'iron our hair' on ironing board to try and straighten!

                    • Cardboard wrapped blocks of ice cream which usually partially melted on the bus on the way home ( didn't have a car , who did ) then slicing it after re freezing with a carving knife and putting between 2 soggy wafers that had been in the bag with it on the way home , with a bit of jam mixed with golden syrup from an impossible to open slightly rusty tin as sauce

                              my dad would sprinkle sugar on his toms and I tried it once, its not too bad...

                              • My dad used to have sugar on lettuce. His idea of a salad was a bowl full of lettuce, a couple of quarterd tomatoes, sliced cucumber and some gibbons (spring onions) - all covered in sugar
