Things I've never thought about before..............
How come some cats are so fussy that they will only drink fresh water...and yet they don't think twice about licking their bottoms clean?........ Eeewwwwww!
That's nothing. Hamsters eat some of their own poo. My hamster can reach forward and pull poos out of her bum, then throw them across the room with her teeth. And then eat it.

Why do slugs slither across 10 metres of native plants to eat something I've planted that comes from the other side of the world. Why can't they be happy to eat the native plants they have evolved to eat. I like a Chinese as much as the next man but that doesn't give the slugs carte Blanche to scarf down all my Chinese leaves

Our cats won't go near the fresh water we put out and always drink from manky puddles

I wondered this about our dog, then remembered that our water has chlorine and fluoride in it yet we call it clean. Defining clean depends on your perspective.
Can the queen speak Doric? I would expect so, the amount of time she spends in Braemar. Just imagine...
"Foos doos, Phillip?"
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Apparently it means how are you? There are still words and phrases that have me saying "I beg your pardon?" even after nearly 3 years here. At work they know to translate when they get a blank look. Lol
