Oh my word, BM - I must admit to breaking one set of loppers , a tape measure and a garden fork since I retired - with yet another set of secateurs - numbers 1 and 3 through over stretching their strength. My problem is ditching said broken tools When do I let go of them?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

The doctor told me gardening is the best stress relief medicine there is, shame you cant get a prescription for replacent tools.

Now that would be a real tonic

It would indeed especially if you can get free prescriptions..................

I broke my secateurs today. The spring went Boiing, and leapt out into the undergrowth, never to be seen again.
I'm sure there must be a use for a floppy pair of secateurs. I hope so as I have at least 4 other pairs in the same condition

Well, I've just burnt the handle of my spade in the chiminea. Kept me warm for an extra half hour outside. Just wondering what to do with the spade bit now..

I have no idea why but that reminded me of the Fork 'andle sketch by the 2 Ronnies...............maybe you can get a new spade 'andle.

If you buy Joseph Bently spades and forks and they break, they will give you a free replacement for the cost of postage.

If you buy Felco secataurs they just wont break unless you abuse them. I have amassed 4 pairs of no 9's somehow (left handed version)

Tape measures just go wrong because they can and I am sure they pick their moment to do so.

As for claw hammers, I have bent a cheap one but never broken one.

To be honest my spade was 15years old and I leave it outside. I think it was passed it.
I've got a pair of felcos, had them over 10 years and worth every penny.

Thats good to know . . . I've just been reading several user reviews saying that the spade was used for a short period of time before the handle snapped . . . pity really, they look like nice spades.

Wonder if the Receivers will honour the warranty
